CONNECTIVE YOUTH CENTER
(Project 2B)

The primary purpose of a youth centre is to provide cultural space to the youngster (including those with physical, sensory, and cognitive impairments) for their leisure and interaction. Students to analyse site conditions and precedent building(s) and respond with the processes involved in the design of a public building together with integration of services, basic structure and landscape planning.
Therefore, in the proposal students need to propose a major program and its supportive spaces not only for Youth Centre operation but it is able to correspond both aesthetically and functionally for indoor and outdoor environments in context with the general environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Size: Total built up area between 200sqm – 1000sqm, with two (2) storeys building
Who: 50 - 100 persons, *determine the targeted group.
What: Concept of “Urban-Infill” and ‘Transitional Spaces” when new development insert into the existing urban fabric and the building typology. However, the activity is designed suitable for a youth centre comprised of community and interaction.
Where: Taman Tun Dr Ismail of Kuala Lumpur, *demarcate a standard layout for design
proposal.
